Matthew J. Rosas
Matthew James Rosas was born in Corpus Christi, TX. As a young man he attended St. Anthony Catholic High School in San Antonio. While there, he served as a Missionary and spent time in a coastal village in Oaxaca, Mexico. The people there inspired his passion for writing and for discovering. This inspiration is what led him to write The Legend of Mariquita. After graduating Magna cum Laude from Texas A&M University, he lived in New Orleans for five years. Upon moving to Houston with his wife and daughter, he studied Short Fiction with Inprint, Inc. His writing has appeared in The Bilingual Review and other literary magazines. He now teaches at George Sanchez Charter High School in Houston, TX.
